Fun and Learning!
Why playtime is so important for young children.
At Kiddi Kollege we truly believe that fun and learning go together hand in hand. We understand the importance of having a classroom schedule to follow, good classroom management but also, how important it is to have time to play and just be a kid. It’s all about balance. There are many benefits of free play. This allows children to use their creativity while developing their imagination, dexterity, and physical, cognitive, and emotional strength. Play is important to healthy brain development.
One of our favorite quotes at Kiddi Kollege is by Albert Einstein. He said, “Play is the highest form of research” and “Creativity is intelligence having fun!”. We truly believe that in our classrooms.
It is through purposeful play time that our children, at a very early age engage and interact in the world around them. They learn to share with others, problem-solve with friends but most importantly have fun with classmates. Teachers also learn the most about their individual students during free play which is extremely important when developing a trusting relationship with each child and helps create a stronger bond between the two.
Below are some benefits of free play in the classroom.
